I became a mother for the first time far from the place that raised me. In those early days, I felt how little space new mothers are given to simply slow down.

Rest was rushed. Warmth was forgotten. Nourishment felt like an afterthought.

Coming from a background rooted in Ayurveda, I knew postpartum was meant to be protected. Through warming foods, grounding rituals, and small intentional moments of care, I slowly found my way back to myself.

Those gentle practices held me when I needed it most.
